Ingredients of Punjabi Samosa
- It's of Dough.
- It's 4 cups of all-purpose flour.
- Prepare 1.5 tsp of salt.
- It's 1 tsp of carom seed.
- It's 8 tbsp of oil.
- You need 300 ml of cold water.
- You need of Stuffing.
- You need 3 of large potato.
- Prepare 2 tbsp of oil.
- You need 2 tbsp of garlic.
- Prepare 2 tbsp of ginger.
- Prepare 1 tbsp of cumin.
- Prepare 3 of chopped green chilli.
- You need 1 of medium diced onion.
- Prepare 1 tsp of nigella seeds.
- You need of Salt to taste.
- It's 1 tsp of red chilli powder.
- It's 1 tsp of red chilli flakes.
- You need 1 tbsp of lemon juice.
- Prepare 1 tsp of coriander power.
Punjabi Samosa step by step
- Mix all the ingredients for the dough and leave aside for half an hour.
- Meanwhile add chopped garlic, ginger, cumin and green chilli to 2 tbsp oil. Then add chopped onions. Add in coriander and potato and mix. Then leave to cool down.
- Divide the dough into tennis ball sizes. Roll out into chapati thickness and cut into half.
- Stick together the 2 corners and the flat side of the dough forming a cone shape. Fill with the stuffing and close. Repeat with all.
- Heat the oil in the fry pan to med-high then add samosas. Then bring down to med-low and fry 5-6 mins. Then bring back to med-high and fry till golden brown for about 3-4mins.
