- You need 1 of large squash.
- It's 10 tsp of rice vinegar.
- Prepare 4 oz of sweet Thai chili sauce.
- Prepare 8 tbsp of mayonnaise.
- Prepare 2 tbsp of sesame seeds.
- You need 1 1/2 of jasmine rice.
- Prepare 164 gram of tempura mix.
- It's 1 tsp of garlic powder.
- It's 1 tsp of Korean chili flakes.
- It's 1 tsp of plant butter.
Squash Tempura Bowl instructions
- Wash/ dry all squash.
- In a small bowl, combine vinegar, 1/2 tsp sugar, pinch of salt.
- In another bowl, mix chili sauce and Mayo.
- Heat a drizzle of oil in a small pot over medium high heat.
- Add sesame seeds and cook until golden brown, 1-2 minutes.
- While rice cooks, heat oil in cast iron or stainless steel large frying pan.
- In large bowl, mix tempura garlic powder, 1/3 cup cold water with optional pinch of salt.
- Pat squash dry w/ paper towel then stir into batter to coat.
- Drop battered squash in hot oil.
- Cool and turn until all is golden brown.
