Ingredients of Chilli idli

  1. You need 12 of Idli.
  2. Prepare 1 of Onion.
  3. You need 1/2 of Capsicum.
  4. It's of Green chilli 2nos.
  5. Prepare 1 inch of Ginger.
  6. Prepare of Garlic cloves 2.
  7. Prepare 1/4 tsp of Chilli sauce.
  8. You need 1/2 tsp of Tomato ketchup.
  9. You need 1/2 tsp of Soy sauce.
  10. You need of Cornflour or gramflour.
  11. You need of Mix it into water.

I am not sure what sorts of food colors and other stuff go into the making of chilli idli in restaurants. At home we can make tasty and colorful chilli idli with our regular ingredients. This can be done with the leftover idli or cold idli, do not use hot idlis, since it is not suitable for chili idli. This is a snack item, lunch box dish, you can prepare this for dinner too.

Chilli idli instructions

  1. You can prepare idle newly or else it be prepared before day night (it's your choice).
  2. After preparing idle cut it into 4 equal parts..
  3. You have to cut one onion, in that 1/4 onion can cut finely chopped, other part is cut into cube shape.
  4. Heat 5tbps oil,once it heated added idle into oil and fry it. Until it turns into crisp and golden brown..
  5. Once it turns into golden brown strain oil and keep idle aside(fry all idle).
  6. Heat the pan add 2tps oil.once it heated add finely grated ginger and garlic it turns little golden. Add finely chopped onion cook until it's soft. Add capsicum mix well and add required amount of salt.
  7. Add chilli sauce, soysauce, tomato ketchup mix well until it's binding..
  8. After bind add cube onion and mix well(don't over cook). Coz we need bed crisp texture..
  9. Need to pour cornflour or gramflour into the pan..
  10. Add already fried idle and just mix into the sauce.u can see the idle changing color..
  11. Enjoy with tomato ketchup..
